Leverage cuts both ways
Forex trading is highly leveraged. A small adverse market move can wipe out your entire margin. Leverage above 1:30 — common with brokers serving non-EU customers — is designed to accelerate position turnover, which mathematically accelerates losses just as it accelerates gains.
Grid strategies have a known failure mode
GridSentinel implements a grid trading strategy with multiple safety brakes, but the underlying technique remains vulnerable to strong unidirectional trends. In such conditions, the bot's risk circuit breakers will close positions for a loss to protect the account from total ruin — this is by design, not a bug. Closing for a loss is the correct behavior, even though it is unpleasant.
Broker risk
Your funds are held at your broker, not by us. Broker insolvency, regulatory action, slippage, requotes, spread widening, and execution delays are outside our control and can affect your results.
Conflict of interest with B-book brokers
Many retail brokers operate a "market-maker" model where they take the opposite side of your trades — your loss is structurally their gain. GridSentinel works better against ECN/STP brokers where your trades are passed to real liquidity. See our FAQ for broker recommendations.
No guaranteed profit
Backtests, demo results, screenshots, or comments from other users do not predict future performance. We make no representation about how much money GridSentinel will or will not make for you. We do represent that the software's risk-control features behave as documented.
Software risk
Bugs happen. Networks fail. MT5 freezes. AI APIs go down. Despite our best efforts, GridSentinel may not execute trades correctly or at all in every scenario. You are responsible for monitoring your accounts.
Capital you can afford to lose
Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose. Do not borrow money to trade. Do not skip living expenses to fund a trading account.
Not for everyone
This software is unsuitable for: people with no trading experience, retirement savings, emergency funds, or anyone subject to a regulator that prohibits algorithmic retail trading.
